Document Checklist

When you start your application, the portal generates a personalized document checklist based on your loan type, income source, and property details. Each required document has a dedicated upload slot with clear instructions about what is needed. As you upload, items are checked off in real time. Your loan officer can add custom requests, and you receive notifications when new items are needed.

Shared Access

Your loan officer, processor, and underwriter all have access to your document file through role-based permissions. This means when you upload a document, the entire team can see it immediately without anyone needing to forward files. Co-borrowers can also be granted separate login credentials to upload their own documents independently, streamlining the process for joint applications.

Encryption in Transit

Every document upload is encrypted using TLS 1.3, the latest transport layer security protocol. This means that from the moment your file leaves your device until it reaches our servers, it is wrapped in military-grade encryption that cannot be intercepted or read by anyone, including network administrators, ISPs, or malicious actors. We enforce HTTPS on all connections and reject any unencrypted requests.

Encryption at Rest

Once your documents reach our servers, they are stored using 256-bit AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption. This is the same encryption standard used by the U.S. government for classified information and by major banks for financial data. Each document is encrypted with a unique key, and encryption keys are stored separately from the data in a dedicated key management system with hardware security modules.

Access Controls

Multi-factor authentication is required for all portal access. Role-based access controls ensure that team members can only view documents relevant to their function. All access is logged with timestamps, IP addresses, and actions taken. Automatic session timeouts protect against unauthorized access from unattended devices. Sensitive fields like Social Security numbers are masked in the interface and only revealed when explicitly needed.

Document Verification

The system performs automated quality checks on every upload. It verifies that documents are legible, complete (all pages present), current (within required date ranges), and match the borrower's information on the application.
